Men's Soccer Match Against California Ruled No Contest
October 28, 2021 | Men's Soccer
SEATTLE -- The Washington men's soccer team's match against California has officially been ruled a no contest, due to field conditions and concerns over player safety. The ruling came at the 60:18 mark in the second half after discussion between the head referee and both head coaches.
Since the match had not progressed 70 minutes, statistics are nullified and the match does not count.
Per NCAA rules, Christian Soto and Achille Robin, who were both serving a one-match suspension after picking up red cards against Oregon State, will now have to sit out of Sunday's match against Stanford.
