
Emanuels Earns All-American Recognition

The Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division I All-American baseball teams and National Player of The Year, powered by Diamond Sports, were announced on Tuesday and Washington junior pitcher Stevie Emanuels was named to the third team.
The right-hander from Bellevue, Wash., led the Pac-12 and ranked 22nd nationally with 38 strikeouts in 2020. His 15.1 strikeouts per nine innings also led the Conference and ranked 16th nationally. He was 3-1 with a 0.79 earned run average over 22 2/3 innings.
Emanuels recorded at least eight strikeouts in each of his four appearances before the season was canceled. He notched a career high 13 strikeouts in a six-inning masterpiece against Fresno State.
Nick Gonzales, a second baseman from New Mexico State, was named Player of the Year by Collegiate Baseball.
