Summer Camp Registration Open
March 04, 2020 | Women's Soccer
SEATTLE - Registration for all of Washington's summer camps is open now. Interested participants can register for Washington's day camps, advanced academies, and ID camps all online.
Washington will host two day camps this summer, one set for July 6-9 and the other set for July 13-16. Those camps will run from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm each day, with participants dropped off at 8:45 am. These sessions are appropriate for boys and girls from all levels of the sport.
Washington's day camps are a great way for young players to spend some time having fun while playing soccer in a positive environment. Each day will center around a soccer-theme (dribbling, passing, etc) and will include a ton of fun exercises and games designed to challenge each individual player. The camps are run by a staff with many years of camp experience, motivated by a desire to inspire and coach youth players.
The Husky day camps cost $300, with half-day options (from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm) costing $200. There is a 10% discount for UW employees and for siblings taking part in the camp as well. Registration is available online.
Washington will also host advanced academies for girls in grades 5-8 from July 6-9 and from July 13-16. Female soccer players can train with top-level coaches to gain insight and technical ability in a fun but challenging environment. Players will get a daily dose of skill work centering around a new theme each day. Players will receive position specific advice and will enjoy a lot of time with the ball during exercises and game that seek to make each player quicker and more proficient with her skills. Β There will be GK specific coaching/exercises each day for those players interested. Β The camp is directed by the coaching staff of the University of Washington Women's Soccer team and will have the coaches running sessions each day.
The advanced academies run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day, with drop-off at 8:45 am. Registration is available online.
