Washington Rebounds With 7-0 Win Over Eastern

SEATTLE --- Washington rebounded for a tough loss on Saturday with a dominating win on Sunday, beating Eastern Washington 7-0 at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
The Huskies improve to 6-3 with the victory, snapping a two-match losing streak. The Eagles dropped to 1-4 overall.
Washington opened with a solid showing in doubles. Jack Davis and Alexis Alvarez quickly recorded a 6-1 victory at No. 1 with Jack Pulliam and Brandon Wong wrapped up the doubles point with a 6-4 win at No. 3. Just a few moments later, Thibault Cancel and Adam Torocsik picked up a 6-4 win at No. 2 for the doubles sweep by the Huskies.
Freshman Brandon Wong got singles play going with a quick 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3 while Liam Puttergill followed with a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 5. Ewen Lumsden--coming off his first win over a ranked opponent in yesterday's match against Pepperdine--clinched the match with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2. Jack Davis ran his win-streak to six-straight with a 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 1 while Alexis Alvarez stayed perfect in singles play with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 6. Jack Pulliam rounded out the match with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 4.
Washington takes a bit of a break before heading back on the road. The Huskies next match will be on Feb. 18 at Hawaii as they open a three-match road trip. Washington's next home match will be to start Pac-12 play on Feb. 28.
