OREM, Utah – Taran Alvelo threw her second career no-hitter, retiring 21 of the 22 batters she faced to beat the Utah Valley Wolverines 7-0. Alvelo retired the first 18 batters she faced, allowing just one baserunner in the game, via walk. The senior now has 20 wins on the season, with Washington as a team improving to 39-7.

Alvelo was dominant all game, striking out 13. She had just three three-ball counts all day and threw 14 first-pitch strikes. Not a single ball reached the outfield all game.

Offensively, Morganne Flores, Sami Reynolds, SilentRain Espinoza all drove in multiple runs for the Dawgs. Amirah Milloy scored two runs, her third multi-run game of the road trip.

		SCORING
First Inning: Two RBI doubles, both to the left-center gap by Reynolds and Atlee, helped the Huskies stake a 3-0 lead early. Fifth Inning: Milloy's leadoff double put the Huskies in good shape as the offense put two more runs up in the frame. Bates brought Milloy in on a bunt single, then Reynolds ripped a hard liner single to center for another RBI. Sixth Inning: With the bases loaded, Flores dropped a blooper down the rightfield line, allowing two runs to score. Seventh Inning: Espinoza fought her way through a seven-pitch at-bat before ripping a double down the leftfield line to make it 9-0.

		NOTES
Alvelo (7.0 IP, 0 H, 1 BB, 13 K) has now thrown two no-hitters in her career. Alvelo is the sixth Husky ever with three year of 20+ wins. This is the second season since the turn of the century that the Huskies have had three or more no-hitters. They also did so in 2010. Atlee (2x4, R, 2B, RBI) extended her hit streak to six games. Reynolds (2x4, R, 2B, 2 RBI) drove in seven runs over this five-game road trip. Bates (1x3, R, RBI) became the 12^th Husky ever with three 60+ hit seasons. This was the 17^th consecutive game Bates has scored or driven in a run. Milloy (1x3, 2 R, 2B) has scored a run in eight of the last nine games, with 13 runs in that time. Espinoza (1x3, 2B, 2 RBI) has a career-best five-game hit streak.

With this road trip complete, Washington will now have its off week before play at Arizona beginning May 3.
