SEATTLE - The Husky beach volleyball squad hits the road but stays in-state this weekend as the Dawgs stop off down in Vancouver, Wash. for three dual matches against Northwest rivals Portland, Oregon, and Boise State. The four squads have all had their share of snow to fight through over the last month and can swap snow stories this Saturday and Sunday at Frenchman's Bar Park.
There has been a schedule change to UW's matches on Saturday, as the Huskies are now slated to play the Pilots first at 10 a.m. and then take on the Ducks at 2 p.m. Sunday will be the Huskies and Broncos as scheduled at 10 a.m.
Washington could have a much different look this week compared to week one as Kara Bajema, Samantha Drechsel, Avie Niece, and Lauren Sanders are added back into the mix after they were taking part in the USA Volleyball Women's National Team Tryout last weekend when the Huskies opened the beach season in Tucson, Ariz.
The Huskies are looking for their first win after dropping their first three matches last week to 11th-ranked California, top-ranked UCLA, and Arizona State.
