SANTA BARBARA, Calif. --- Washington wrapped up a quick road trip to Southern California with a tough 4-1 loss at UC Santa Barbara on Tuesday afternoon.
After the Huskies (5-11) dropped the double point, Ewen Lumsden knotted the match at 1-1 with a quick win at No. 5 singles, as he cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 victory. But the Gauchos (7-8) would answer back with a couple of quick wins at No. 3 and No. 1 singles, then a three-set victory at No. 6 to clinch the match.
Washington returns home on Friday, hosting Utah in a Pac-12 match at 5:00 p.m.
