Washington Set For ESPN Matchup With #3 UCLA
February 04, 2019 | Gymnastics
SEATTLE - The Washington GymDawgs will play host to the #3 UCLA Bruins this weekend in their second home meet of the season. After three consecutive meets with the team winning multiple event titles, Washington will face off against the 2018 national champions as they continue on the road to Nationals.
The GymDawgs' streak of multiple event titles includes back-to-back all-around wins by Evanni Roberson. Washington has won multiple event titles in nine of its last ten regular season meets, dating back to last year's February 3 meet at Utah.
Washington and UCLA last met in the regular season at 2018's Metroplex Challenge. UCLA would take first at that four-team meet. This Sunday's meeting will be the first-ever ESPN-televised meet for Washington at home. Tickets for the meet are available online.
