
Last Pac-12 Meet Of Regular Season This Week For GymDawgs

SEATTLE - The Washington GymDawgs hit the road for more Pac-12 competition this week. The GymDawgs will take on #15 California in Berkeley for their final Pac-12 meet before the Pac-12 Championships in March.
The GymDawgs have put up their three highest scores this year against Pac-12 competition, including the 196.250 from the Perfect 10 Challenge against #1 Oklahoma, George Washington, and Arizona State.
Washington has not lost a dual meet to California since 2003, though they have finished behind Cal at two tri meets since then. Last season, Washington defeated Cal 196.325-194.850 in the team's first home meet of the year.

| Washington set a new season high as a team on vault last week, scoring a 49.050 with five gymnasts at or above 9.800. It was the highest team vault score by Washington since March 24 of last season. Geneva Thompson has never had a vault score under 9.800 in her young career after recording a 9.800 at the Perfect 10 Challenge. Her average score of 9.813 leads the GymDawgs. Thompson has two vault event titles already. Madison Copiak also has a vault title this year, splitting the title with Thompson at Arizona. |

| The GymDawgs had their second meet of the year with a bars score over 49.200 at the Perfect 10 Challenge, recording a 49.250. They are 16th in the country on bars. Two GymDawgs, Monica Riley and Michaela Nelson, have average scores of 9.800 or higher. Nelson set a new career high on bars in just her second meet of the year, recording a 9.875 last week. Riley had a 9.850 in that same meet, giving her 14 scores of 9.850 or higher since the beginning of 2018. During that time, Riley has just three bars routines scoring under 9.800. Both Madison Copiak and Evanni Roberson have recorded scores of 9.900 on bars so far this year, the highest of any GymDawg on the event. Copiak recorded her second 9.900 last week. |

BEAM | |
| Washington's beam squad is its highest ranked individual event, sitting at 12th in the country. Three GymDawgs had scores of 9.800 or higher last week on beam. Evanni Roberson is leading the team in average score at 9.846. She has had a score of 9.800 or higher in 16 of her last 18 meets. This year, she already has two scores of 9.900 or higher, including a 9.950 at Arizona that was the highest by a GymDawg on beam since 2004. |

FLOOR | |
| Washington went over 49.000 once again last week, earning a 49.100. Washington has been over 49.000 on floor for four consecutive weeks. Kristyn Hoffa is on an impressive streak, with four consecutive floor scores of 9.875. Only twice in her last ten meets has she had a floor score under 9.850, and only once in that time has she had a score under 9.800. Maya Washington is averaging a 9.842 on floor and Evanni Roberson is averaging a 9.837. Maya Washington's last floor routine to earn a score under 9.800 came on January 12, 2017, the first meet of last year. Since that time, she has six floor routines earning a 9.900 or higher. |
