Huskies Close Out Fall Schedule With Husky Invitational

SEATTLE --- The University of Washington men's tennis team closes out the fall portion of its 2019-20 schedule this weekend, hosting the Husky Invitational Friday through Sunday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.Β
The Invitational features Washington, Eastern Washington, Portland State and UC Davis with matches starting at 2:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon.Β
The Huskies, who have five returners and five newcomers on the 10-man squad, opened the season two weeks ago at the 2019 ITA Northwest Regional Championships at Stanford.Β

"After a good month of work, we played our first event last week down at Stanford and it gave us great feedback and purpose in our practices," said Head Coach Matt Anger. "I'm hoping for more of that this week with our Invite. We also have five new players on our team this year and it will be great to get them to play matches on our home courts."
