September 23, 2018 | Men's Golf
SEATTLE β The University of Washington men's golf team hosts the 2018 Husky Invitational in Sammamish, Wash., this week as it welcomes 11 squads to one of its home courses, Aldarra Golf Course on Tuesday-Wednesday, Sept 25-26. The two-day 54-hole event will feature 36 holes in continuous rounds on Tuesday with the final 18 coming on Wednesday on the par-71, 6,911, yard course.
FROM COACH MURRAY:Β "We're excited to host this tournament, it's the first we've hosted since I joined the Husky program so it's great that our squad will be able to play in front of their home fans. We have three freshmen in the lineup again and it's going to be a really good experience for them. Aldarra is a course that we know really well and it's in great condition. They do a great job and we are happy to be able to showcase one of our home courses during this tournament. We're looking forward to getting the tournament underway and for us as coaches, with such a young roster, it's exciting to get out there and watch this group grow and develop over each event."
THE FIELD:Β Washington will be joined by 11 other teams at Aldarra. The 12-team field includes Boise State, Seattle U, Washington State, Idaho, San Jose State, Nevada, Long Beach State, Hawaii, San Diego along with delegations from Sweden and Taiwan.Β
