Two Pac-12 Matches Await UW in Los Angeles

SEATTLE – Following a pair of home wins on Saturday, No. 47 Washington women's tennis is back on the road this weekend, continuing Pac-12 play at No. 41 USC on Saturday and No. 13 UCLA on Sunday.
The Huskies (10-6, 0-1 Pac-12) are fresh off of a two-win day on Saturday. UW beat Idaho 5-2 and swept Seattle 7-0 to get back on the right foot. In the latest ITA singles rankings, Stacey Fung moved to No. 16 and Vanessa Wong is now at No. 62. For doubles, Wong and Miki Kobayashi are ranked No. 32.
USC is 8-5 so far this year, including a 1-2 mark in Pac-12 play. The Trojans have one ranked in singles: Gabby Smith at No. 57. In doubles, Angela Kulikov and Rianna Valdes are ranked at No. 43.
UCLA is 10-4 on the year, 2-1 in Pac-12 matches. The Bruins participated in the ITA National Women's Team Indoor Championship, losing their first two matches before picking up a win against South Carolina. In the ITA rankings, UCLA has four players ranked in singles: No. 13 Ena Shibahara, No. 37 Jada Hart, No. 46 Abi Altick and No. 100 Alaina Miller. The Bruins also have four pairs ranked in doubles.
