Weissheim Advances On Day One Of ITA All-American Championships

CARY, N.C. – Two Dawgs were in action on day one of the ITA All-American Championships at Cary Tennis Park in Cary, N.C. on Saturday morning.
Alexia Jacobs and Marie Weissheim entered the tournament in the pre-qualifying draw.
Weissheim won her match in straight sets 6-1, 7-6 and taking the tie break by a score of 7-4. Weissheim will move on to face Penn State's Patricia Grigoras tomorrow morning with a chance to advance to the Qualifying Draw.
Jacobs faced Georgia's Patricija Paukstyte and battled in two sets, but ultimately fell, 3-6, 6-7(6).
