#5 UW (21-12, 10-8 Pac-12) vs. #1 Saint Mary's (29-5, 16-2 WCC)
UW earned a No. 5 seed in the 2018 National Invitational Tournament and have advanced to the second round heading to California to face Saint Mary's on Monday, March 19 at 8 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPNU with Roxy Bernstein and Corey Williams on the call. Additionally, fans can tune into KOMO 1000AM/FM 97.7 to hear the action from Tony Castricone and Jason Hamilton. Washington leads the series history at 6-0 with their most recent meeting coming over 18 years ago on the road on Nov. 22 1999 (73-60).

The Coach
Head Coach Mike Hopkins is in his first year at Washington, and first as a head coach becoming the 19th head coach in UW history. After spending 22 years as an assistant at Syracuse, Hopkins oversaw teams that reached the NCAA Tournament 16 times including the 2003 National Championship, four Final Fours, five Elite Eights and 10 Sweet 16s along with four NIT berths. Syracuse never dipped below a 55.0 percent record while Hopkins was on staff.

• Junior Noah Dickerson is 33 of 35 from the FT line over the last five games ... he's also shooting 78.7 percent from the charity stripe on the season (163-207) which ranks second on the team
• Junior David Crisp became the 40th player in UW history to record 100 assists in a single season
• Washington has its first 20-win season since 2011-12 after defeating Oregon State last week ... UW went 9-22 last season and it's the biggest win jump overall since 1936-37 to 1937-38 when the Dawgs went from 15-11 to 29-7 the following year ... it is also the biggest jump (eight wins more) in conference play in UW history as UW went from 2-16 to 10-8 this season
• UW's 20 wins in the regular season are its most since 2011-12 when UW won 21 games prior to postseason ... its the 28th 20-win season in UW history
• UW has a 3-1 record over top 25 teams this season, defeating No. 2 Kansas on the road, No. 25 Arizona State and No. 9 Arizona with it's lone loss coming against No. 12 Gonzaga ... the last time UW had three wins over top 25 teams was the 2014-15 season
• Junior Matisse Thybulle is now third on the Pac-12 single season top 10 list for steals as he has 97 on the year .. he's the only UW player in the league's top 10 and is 13 off the top spot held by Jason Kidd of Cal (110 - 1993)
• Washington had five players record 5+ rebounds against Boise State marking the first time this season with five or more players reaching five or more rebounds
• Thybulle has had at least one steal in 45-straight games
• Dickerson became the 39th player in UW history to reach the 1,000 career scoring mark after scoring a career-high tying 28 points at OSU (Feb. 10) .. he currently has 1,143 points which ranks 30th all-time, and just passed assistant coach Will Conroy (1,113 career points, 2001-05).
• Junior David Crisp became the 40th player in UW history to reach 1,000 career points after scoring six at California and he now has 1,055 career points.. he joins Dickerson in reaching the 1K mark this season
• Out of his 201 career steals, which rank first all-time at UW, Matisse Thybulle is creating scoring on 54.7 percent of the direct next possessions ... this year alone, that number jumps to 56.7 (55 of 97)
• Junior Matisse Thybulle owns the UW single-season steals record as he now has 97 ... the previous record was held by Bryan Boston (67-1994-95, 27 games) ... his 97 steals are tied for second nationally and six off the national lead held by Jevon Carter of West Virginia (103)... he also ranks tied for 10th amongst active Division I players with 201 career steals
• Junior Noah Dickerson recorded his third 20-point/10-rebound double-double of the season against OSU with 28 points and 12 rebounds ... he now has five 20/10 double-doubles on his career
• Thybulle became the first Husky in program history to rank in the career top 10 in both categories ... Thybulle has 201 career steals (1st) and 100 career blocks (6th).
