Three Home Matches This Weekend for the Huskies

SEATTLE – No. 24 Washington women's tennis is home for the second week in a row, hosting Alabama on Friday and Portland and Eastern Washington on Sunday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
The Huskies are ranked in two major polls. They are No. 24 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll and No. 23 in the USTA College Tennis Top 25. In the ITA singles rankings, Stacey Fung is now at No. 11 and Vanessa Wong jumped up to No. 36.
UW will face off against Alabama on Friday, a team that is receiving votes in the ITA rankings. Washington head coach Robin Stephenson graduated from Alabama where she was an All-American in tennis. The Roll Tide has one singles player ranked, No. 89 Andie Daniell.
Sunday will feature a doubleheader for the Dawgs. UW will play Portland (1-2), who has never defeated the Huskies in 27 matches. After that match, Washington will face Eastern Washington (2-0).
