Anissa Dadkhah has served as a starter, a role player, an attacker, and a holding midfielder in her two years with Washington. This year, she has seen action in eight matches off the bench, primarily serving a defensive role in the midfield. She scored her first goal as a Husky in her second start, coming last year against SMU.
What is your favorite soccer memory?
Getting third place at the ECNL National Championships with my club team.
What's the coolest place you have traveled?
Japan during spring break with the Huskies.
What is something you want to learn?
How to speak Farsi so I can talk with my grandma in Iran.
What's a talent you have people do not know about?
I can solve a Rubik's Cube.
What is your favorite TV show?
Spongebob Squarepants.
What is your favorite part of the UW campus?
The fountain!
What are some of your hobbies?
Reading books, watching YouTube videos and TED Talks.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Getting my MBA, working in product management at Google or management consulting at Boston Consulting Group.
Why did you choose to come to Washington?
It has an awesome combination of soccer and engineering, a great soccer culture in the city, and I have family in Redmond and Bothell.
What is the best goal you've ever scored?
The best goal I've scored was against Duke. It was a cross from the right side and I made a run to the top of the box and bent the ball to the left-side netting.
