In her first year with the Huskies, Laura Roberts has stepped into a starting role with ease, serving as a defensive pillar while chipping in some offense from out wide. Roberts earned an assist against Seattle U for her first career point and has put four shots on goal on the season. In Washington's last match, Roberts played all 103 minutes against Arizona, her seventh time playing every minute of a game.
What is your favorite soccer memory?
Winning the U13 national championship with Eastside FC.
What's the coolest place you have traveled?
Aruba during New Year's.
What is something you want to learn?
I want to learn how to speak another language fluently, like Italian or Spanish.
What's a talent you have people do not know about?
I am great at dancing.
What is your favorite movie?
The Pink Panther is my favorite.
What is your favorite part of Seattle?
Gasworks, because it has the best view of Seattle.
What are some of your hobbies?
I like wake surfing and inner tubing and reading.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Hopefully in medical school, training to be a doctor.
Why did you choose to come to Washington?
I love the academic opportunities it provides and the unity of the team.
What is the best save you've ever made?
My best save was in my high school state finals game, when I blocked a girl from a break away and then headed a ball out of the goal on the same play.
