SEATTLE --- Jack Davis and Piers Foley lost in the ITA Northwest Regionals doubles championship match on Monday to Joshua Charlton and Thomas Laurent from Oregon, 2-6, 7-6, 8-10.
Davis and Foley rallied from a one set deficit to win the second set in dramatic fashion. The Husky duo broke the Oregon serve multiple times to earn a 7-6 second set victory.
The third set tiebreaker proved to be a back and forth battle with neither side taking a lead larger than two points. With the tiebreaker knotted up at eight points apiece, Oregon won the final two points consecutively to earn the match victory.
Oregon's doubles title is its second consecutive after winning the 2017 title as well. The Ducks also claimed the singles title as Emmanuel Coste beat Will Genesen from Stanford 6-3, 6-1.
The Huskies will next be in action at the Jack Kramer Invitational Nov 1-4, in Rolling Hills, Calif.
