October 01, 2018 | Men's Golf
FORT WORTH, Texas โ Following day two of the prestigious Nike Golf Collegiate in Fort Worth, the University of Washington men's golf team sits in 14th place with a two-day score of 25-over 585 (296-289). The Huskies improved upon their day one score by seven strokes at Colonial Country Club. Washington was led by sophomore Jan Schneider who is currently tied for 24th at 3-over 143 (75-68).
"We improved on our round one score today on what is obviously a tough championship course and we will try to do the same again tomorrow," said head coach Alan Murray. "Jan had a great score today after playing a really fine round. I was very proud of his effort today and he played extremely well. Noah shot a gritty 72 and even though Henry had a bad couple of holes in the middle, he still had a lot of good moments in his 73. Our freshmen, Rob and Paul, just had tough days but we've got another round to go and this is a great learning experience for our team."
