Final Round Cancelled at Inverness Intercollegiate, Dawgs Finish 5th

TOLEDO, Ohio - The University of Washington men's golf team's season-opening tournament was shortened due to weather in Ohio on Tuesday as the third round was cancelled. Washington opened the tournament with a 1-over 569 through the first 36 holes before weather stopped the event.
Ohio was hit with lightning and thunder on Tuesday forcing the tournament to end prematurely.
The Dawgs were led by sophomore Henry Lee, who finished tied for sixth with a 4-under138. Senior Frank Garber recorded a top 25 finish as he carded a 1-over 143 while Carl Yuan finished tied for 35th at 3-over 145. Freshmen Noah Woolsey and Jan Schneider each finished with a 4-over 146 to finish tied for 43rd.
Up next, Washington heads to the Nike Collegiate Invitational in Oregon, Oct. 1-3.
