September 11, 2017 | Men's Soccer
SEATTLE – The Washington Huskies' five-game homestand continues this week as they take on Drexel in one of two non-conference home matchups. Washington's week kicks off on Thursday, September 14 with a 7:00 pm PT game against Drexel. The Huskies will also play Santa Clara at home on Sunday at 2:00 pm PT.
Washington went 1-1-0 last week, defeating Gonzaga 3-0 before falling 2-1 in OT to Mercer. Elijah Rice, Scott Menzies, and Quentin Pearson all scored against Gonzaga, with Rice also tallying a goal against Mercer to give him three on the season, good for the team lead.
Drexel At A Glance
The Dragons are 0-2-1 thus far in the early goings and are yet to score a goal. Drexel started the year with back-to-back 3-0 defeats against St. John's and Bowling Green at home, then tied William & Mary 0-0. This will be Drexel's first road trip of the season.
Series History
Washington and Drexel last met in 2015, when the Huskies triumphed 1-0 on the road thanks to a James Moberg goal. That was the only meeting between the two schools in either program's history.
