
Huskies Host San Diego For Weekday Match

SEATTLE – The Washington men's tennis team will return home this week, hosting San Diego on Thursday March 9th at 4 p.m. in the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
Last weekend the Huskies took on No. 32 Minnesota on Friday, picking up a 4-2 win before falling in a tough match with Drake on Saturday 4-3. Freshman Amit Batta kept his unbeaten streak alive in singles, moving to 9-0 in dual matches while adding a win in doubles to move to 6-1. Junior Jake Douglas also picked up a pair of wins in Minneapolis, placing him in the top 10 for best career winning percentages in school history.
San Diego (6-3) was in action last weekend, hosting No. 7 California but falling 6-1. They are led by senior Filip Vittek, who was recently ranked 55th in singles by the ITA this week and are coached by Ryan Keckley who is in his second season with the program.
Thursday's match in the Nordstrom Tennis Center will be free to attend, with pizza served to all between the doubles and singles. If you are unable to make it to campus, you can keep up with the Dawgs via the live stream and scoring page, which can be found at the link above.
