UW Continues Homestand with Bethune Cookman Tuesday at 7 p.m.

UW (8-3) vs. Bethune-Cookman (5-7)
UW continues its four-game homestand as it hosts Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. inside Alaska Airlines Arena. The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks with Aaron Goldsmith and Eldridge Recasner on the call. Additionally fans can tune into KOMO 1000AM and 97.7 FM to hear the official UW radio broadcast from Tony Castricone and Jason Hamilton. This is the first meeting between the two programs, making BCU the third team UW has faced for the first time in program history this season.
The Coach
Head Coach Mike Hopkins is starting his first year at Washington, and first as a head coach becoming the 19th head coach in UW history. After spending 22 years as an assistant at Syracuse, Hopkins oversaw teams that reached the NCAA Tournament 16 times including the 2003 National Championship, four Final Fours, five Elite Eights and 10 Sweet 16s along with four NIT berths. Syracuse never dipped below a 55.0 percent record while Hopkins was on staff.

• Washington had two 20+ scorers against Loyola Marymount as Jaylen Nowell had 21 and Noah Dickerson scored 20 ... it was the first time since Dec. 11, 2016 that UW had two players score at least 20 (vs. Nevada - Fultz and Crisp)
• Junior Matisse Thybulle currently has 74 career blocks, which is 10 shy of cracking the top five on UW's all-time career list (10th - 84, Patrick Femerling, 1996-98)
• Freshman Hameir Wright has upped his rebounding over the last four games to 5.8 per game from the 1.4 he was averaging over UW's first seven games

• Over the last six games junior Noah Dickerson is averaging 18.2 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 63.6 percent from the field ... additionally in that span sophomore Sam Timmins is shooting 68.2 percent from the field (15-of-22) with nine of his 15 made FGs coming as dunks (60.0 percent).
• Junior Noah Dickerson recorded his third double double of the season at #2 Kansas with 14 rebounds and 13 points ... he now has nine for his career which have all come over his last 33 games
