UW (8-3) vs. Bethune-Cookman (5-7)
UW continues its four-game homestand as it hosts Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. inside Alaska Airlines Arena. The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks with Aaron Goldsmith and Eldridge Recasner on the call. Additionally fans can tune into KOMO 1000AM and 97.7 FM to hear the official UW radio broadcast from Tony Castricone and Jason Hamilton. This is the first meeting between the two programs, making BCU the third team UW has faced for the first time in program history this season.

The Coach
Head Coach Mike Hopkins is starting his first year at Washington, and first as a head coach becoming the 19th head coach in UW history. After spending 22 years as an assistant at Syracuse, Hopkins oversaw teams that reached the NCAA Tournament 16 times including the 2003 National Championship, four Final Fours, five Elite Eights and 10 Sweet 16s along with four NIT berths. Syracuse never dipped below a 55.0 percent record while Hopkins was on staff.

Quick Hitters
• Washington had two 20+ scorers against Loyola Marymount as Jaylen Nowell had 21 and Noah Dickerson scored 20 ... it was the first time since Dec. 11, 2016 that UW had two players score at least 20 (vs. Nevada - Fultz and Crisp)
• Junior Matisse Thybulle currently has 74 career blocks, which is 10 shy of cracking the top five on UW's all-time career list (10th - 84, Patrick Femerling, 1996-98)
• Freshman Hameir Wright has upped his rebounding over the last four games to 5.8 per game from the 1.4 he was averaging over UW's first seven games
• Sophomore Sam Timmins recorded 11 boards against LMU, one shy of his career high ... he has pulled down eight or more boards four times this season through 11 games ... last season, he only had four games with eight or more in 31 outings
• Freshman Jaylen Nowell recorded a career-high four 3FGs against LMU ... he had hit seven total in the previous 10 games
• UW will retire Isaiah Thomas' No. 2 jersey in a ceremony at the Feb. 15 game against Utah
• The Huskies begin another quick stretch of games as they will host three contests in six days ... earlier this season UW played three in five
• This is UW's second four-game homestand of the non-conference season
• Washington's win over No. 2 Kansas was its first win away from Seattle over a top 2 team in program history
• Junior Matisse Thybulle is creating scoring on the direct next possession of 65.7 percent of his 35 steals this year ... over the last two years he is creating scoring on 56.5 percent of the next possession and for his career he is at 55.4 percent (77 of 139 steals)
• Via Stats Inc., Thybulle is the only player this season to have season highs of 19 points, 5 steals, 5 blocks, 7 assists, 6 rebounds and 5 made FGs from 3 ... only one player did this all of last season – William Lee of UAB .. and no other Pac-12 player has done it in Stats Inc. data (since 1996-97).
• Over the last six games junior Noah Dickerson is averaging 18.2 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 63.6 percent from the field ... additionally in that span sophomore Sam Timmins is shooting 68.2 percent from the field (15-of-22) with nine of his 15 made FGs coming as dunks (60.0 percent).
• Junior Noah Dickerson recorded his third double double of the season at #2 Kansas with 14 rebounds and 13 points ... he now has nine for his career which have all come over his last 33 games
• Thybulle recorded 5 blocks and 3 steals against Omaha becoming the first UW player to have those numbers in a game since Matthew Bryan Amaning recorded 7 blocks and 4 steals on Feb. 19, 2011 at Arizona.
• UW is shooting 80.6 percent from the FT line in final five minutes of its 11 games and that goes up to 84.6 percent in the final two minutes ... UW has not been that efficient from the FT line during those two spans since at least 2002-03 (stats not kept as well before that)
• Junior Noah Dickerson is leading the team in FG percentage at 62.4 (58-93) ... as a sophomore Dickerson shot 54.7 percent (93-199) and as a freshman he shot 46.7 (146-267)
• Washington leads the league in steals at 8.5 per game, which also ranks 33rd nationally
• Junior Matisse Thybulle currently ranks fourth in the NCAA in steals, averaging 3.2 per game ... his 139 career steals are seventh in UW history ... the UW school record is 195 (Jamie Booker, 1994-97 over 109 games)
