
Dawgs Continue Four Game Homestand vs. Loyola Marymount Sunday

UW (7-3) vs. Loyola-Marymont (5-4)
UW continues its four-game homestand as it hosts Loyola Marymount on Sunday, Dec. 17 at 3 p.m. inside Alaska Airlines Arena. The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks with Aaron Goldsmith and Eldridge Recasner on the call. Additionally fans can tune into KOMO 1000AM and 97.7 FM to hear the official UW radio broadcast from Tony Castricone and Jason Hamilton. Washington owns the series record 4-1, with the last meeting coming on Nov. 25, 2005 and resulted in a 112-65 UW victory in Seattle.
The Coach
Head Coach Mike Hopkins is starting his first year at Washington, and first as a head coach becoming the 19th head coach in UW history. After spending 22 years as an assistant at Syracuse, Hopkins oversaw teams that reached the NCAA Tournament 16 times including the 2003 National Championship, four Final Fours, five Elite Eights and 10 Sweet 16s along with four NIT berths. Syracuse never dipped below a 55.0 percent record while Hopkins was on staff.

• Over the last five games junior Noah Dickerson is averaging 17.8 points and 8.6 rebounds while shooting 65.2 percent from the field ... additionally in that span sophomore Sam Timmins is shooting 75 percent from the field (12-of-16) with eight of his 12 made FGs coming as dunks (66.7 percent).
• Junior Noah Dickerson recorded his third double double of the season at #2 Kansas with 14 rebounds and 13 points ... he now has nine for his career which have all come over his last 32 games
• Thybulle recorded 5 blocks and 3 steals against Omaha becoming the first player to have those numbers in a game since Matthew Bryan Amaning recorded 7 blocks and 4 steals on Feb. 19, 2011 at Arizona.
• Over the last four games, freshman Hameir Wright has averaged 7.3 points and 4.8 rebounds while hitting all six career 3-pointers, compared to his first six games where he averaged 0.3 ppg and 1.0 rpg
• UW is shooting 78.9 percent from the FT line in final five minutes of its 10 games and that goes up to 81.8 percent in the final two minutes ... UW has not been that efficient from the FT line during those two spans since at least 2002-03 (stats not kept as well before that)
• Additionally, Jaylen Nowell is shooting 92.3 percent during the final 2 minutes of each game (12-13) while David Crisp is 9-of-12 in that span (75.0)
• Junior Noah Dickerson is currently second on the team in FG percentage at 63.1 (53-84) ... as a sophomore Dickerson shot 54.7 percent (93-199) and as a freshman he shot 46.7 (146-267)
