
Huskies Put 12 On Pac-12 All-Academic Team

SEATTLE - The Washington Huskies were honored by the Pac-12 with 12 All-Academic Team awards, tied for the most in Washington history.ย The Huskies also put 12 on the All-Academic Team in 2014 and 2013 but have never had more.ย This year, Sam Kokoskaย was named the First Team, while Dominique Bond-Flasza, Lauren Conley, Pascale Dumesnil, Lisa Jensen, Kimberly Keever, Ava Lewis, Amanda Perez, Taylor Sekyra, Shannon Simon, Jessica Udovich, and Rachel Wheeler were all named Honorable Mentions.
For Kokoska, it was the second year in a row she has been named to the All-Academic First Team.ย She has been named to the First Team each year she has been eligible for the award.ย The Huskies have now had at least one player make the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team every year since 2011.
Bond-Flasza was a part of the All-Academic Team for the third time in as many years.ย In 2015, Bond-Flasza was named to the Second Team and she has been named Honorable Mention each of the last two years for her work in the classroom.ย Perez, Simon, and Wheeler join Bond-Flaszaย with threeย All-Academic awards, with all four of those players earning the honor in each of their eligible years.
Dumesnil and Sekyraย have now been named to the All-Academic Team two years in a row.ย Each were named Honorable Mention in 2016 as well as this year.
