SEATTLE - Washington returns to the pitch for its first of two Pac-12 home matches this week, hosting San Diego State on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Husky Soccer Stadium.
The Huskies are riding a five-match winning streak, improving to 8-2-0 with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Oregon State on Sunday in their Pac-12 opener. Despite the victory, Washington fell five spots in the latest NCAA/United Soccer Coaches Poll to No. 22 overall. The sophomore came off the bench at halftime and scored a pair of fantastic goals, the first on a header right in front of the net off a cross from Handwalla Bwana in the 57th minute. He then tapped home a low pass from Corban Anderson in the 64th minute for the match-winner.
