Washington Huskies At A Glance
The Huskies are looking to get back in the win column as they close out the home portion of the regular season schedule on Sunday night against California. Washington, ranked No. 21 in the latest NCAA/United Soccer Coaches poll, dropped a frusting match to No. 6 Stanford on Thursday, despite playing some of its best soccer of the season. The Huskies have netted just one point over their last four matches, but are 8-3-0 at home this year and are outscoring the opposition 25-9 over that stretch.
California Golden Bears At A Glance
The Golden Bears were stunned in overtime on Thursday, losing 2-1 at Oregon State. The loss snapped a two-match win streak and was just the first road loss for Cal on the season. Shinya Kadono leads the team with six goals including the opening goal when the teams met in Berkeley last week.
Series History
Washington leads the all-time series 29-19-10 including sweeping the season series by identical 2-1 scores last year. The Golden Bears beat the Huskies 2-1 last week at Cal, but Washington is 3-2-3 in its last eight matches at Cal with six of those eight going into overtime.
