Washington Host Husky Invite This Weekend

SEATTLE – Washington women's tennis is back in action this weekend to host the Husky Invite from Oct. 13-15 at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.

Three teams will be making the trip to Seattle this weekend, including Oregon, Arkansas and Portland. The tournament will feature a mix of doubles and singles on Friday and Saturday with the remaining singles matchups to be played on Sunday.

All matchups will be individually based. The tournament will be split into different flights.

For Husky newcomers Angela Li and Vanessa Wong, this is their first competition with the team.

There are a number of ranked players competing in this tournament. In addition to Washington's Stacey Fung at No. 18 and Miki Kobayashi at No. 84, Oregon has two ranked singles and two ranked doubles pairs. Arkansas has three ranked singles players on their roster.

Play will start at 10 a.m. PT each day. The event is free to the public and results will be updated here on gohuskies.com and on the Huskies' social media sites.
