
Kelsey Plum Earns Pac-12 Player Of The Week

SEATTLE -- After leading the No. 8 University of Washington women's basketball team to a pair of victories over USC and No. 17 UCLA, senior Kelsey Plum has been named the Pac-12 Player of the Week for the third time this season.
The nation's leading scorer, who was also named espnW's Player of the Week, scored 73 points in two games, dropping 34 against USC before pouring in 39 vs. UCLA. Plum has now scored 30 or more points nine times this season and 30 times throughout her career. In the two games combined, she shot 52-percent from the floor (26-of-50), 42-percent from three (8-of-19) and 87-percent from the foul line (13-of-15). Plum also led the team in assists (seven), steals (four) and blocks (three).
Against USC, Plum scored 34 points on 13-of-24 shooting including three from behind-the-arc while also leading the team with five assists.
Two days later against UCLA, Plum led all scorers with 39 points on 13-of-26 shooting including five three-pointers while going 8-of-8 from the foul line. The nation's leading scorer also grabbed four rebounds in a full 40 minutes of action.
Plum and the Huskies return to the hardwood this Friday (Jan. 13) at Arizona.
