UW returns to Alaska Airlines Arena to host USC on Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. The game will be televised by ESPNU with Roy Philpott and Brad Daugherty on the call. Additionally, fans can tune into KOMO 1000AM/97.7FM to hear Bob Rondeau and Jason Hamilton call the action. The series is tied all-time at 71 and UW has won four of the last five in Seattle, including overcoming a 22-point deficit last season for an 87-85 win at Hec Ed (Jan. 3).

The Coach
Head Coach Lorenzo Romar, in his 15th year at Washington, has amassed a 298-186 (.616) during his time in Seattle and an overall mark of 391-274 (.588) in 21 seasons. Romar, the longest tenured coach in the Pac-12, has taken the Huskies to the NCAA tournament six times including three Sweet 16 appearances.

Quick Hitters
• Freshman Markelle Fultz is the only player in the NCAA averaging 20 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds as of Jan. 30 ... he is also the only player in the last 25 years to average 20-5-5 (via Sports Reference).
• Fultz's 23.3 ppg average is not only leading the Pac-12 but is on pace to be the highest scoring average by a league player in 20 years (Ed Gray, Cal, 1996-97 - 24.8) ... additionally, his conference scoring average of 25.0 leads the league by five points - the Pac-12 single-season conference scoring record is 27.8 (Reggie Miller, UCLA, 1986).
• Fultz is the only Pac-12 player to be in the top 10 in the league in points, assists, blocks and steals while also being in the top six in assist to turnover ratio
• Fultz has been named to the midseason watchlists for the Bob Cousy Award (Point Guard of the Year), Oscar Robertson Trophy (Player of the Year) and the Wayman Tisdale Award (Freshman of the Year) ... he is also on the Wooden Award midseason watch list
• Sophomore Matisse Thybulle, who is the only player on the roster to start 55-straight games, is one of two Pac-12 players that can boast more steals than turnovers, as Thybulle has a team-best 38 steals and 33 TOs ... he joins De'Anthony Melton of USC has 40 steals over 37 TOs
• Both Fultz and David Crisp are on 10+scoring game streaks as Fultz has posted 16-straight while Crisp is working on 13-straight
• UW, which led the NCAA in blocks last year, is the only team in the country with three games of 13+blocks, also marking the first time under Romar for a team to post at least 13 blocks in 3 or more games ... the Dawgs are currently fourth in the nation averaging 6.4 per game
• The Huskies had five players reach double figures against No. 7 Arizona, marking the first time for five Dawgs to get to 10 or more points since Nov. 20, 2016 vs. N. Arizona.
• Fultz has led the team in points and assists in 14 games this season and has led in points, rebounds and assists in seven of UW's 21 games
• UW leads the Pac-12 averaging 13.3 offensive rebounds/game ... UW scored 18 second-chance points off 18 offensive rebounds at Arizona and had 42 points in the paint, their most since 44 against W. Michigan (Dec. 18)
• Senior captain Dime suffered a broken pinky on his right hand against OSU (Jan.7) and will miss 4-5 weeks
• Fultz has proven he can step up in the second half this season and the numbers show that ... he is averaging 13.5 points compared to 9.4 over the first 20 minutes while also shooting at a 52.6 percent from the field and 42.0 percent from three compared to 43.0 and 39.1 percent during the first half ... his assist numbers also jump as he goes from 2.5 to 3.4.
• Additionally during the second half this season, Fultz has been accountable for 50.7 percent of UW's scoring between points and assists and that number jumps to 58.2 in Pac-12 Conference play action as he has been accountable for 206 of UW's 354 second-half (or overtime) points in league action.
• Fultz currently has 127 assists on the season which are fourth on UW's freshmen list ... the freshman record is 151 set by Dejounte Murray in 2015-16 ... his 489 points are fourth on the freshman list
• Fultz is the leading freshman scorer in the NCAA at 23.3 points per game which ranks sixth overall
