
Ten Huskies Earn All-Academic Honors

SAN FRANCISCO - The Pac-12 Conference announced Wednesday that ten Washington Men's Soccer players earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors, including two first team selections.
Redshirt junior Auden Schilder and sophomore Quentin Pearson were named to the first team, with redshirt junior Beau Blanchard, junior Garret Jackson and sophomore Corban Anderson getting second team nods. Earning honorable mention recognition were redshirt senior Justin Schmidt, senior Steven Wright, juniorย Henry Wingo and redshirt sophomores Luke Hauswirth Scott Menzies.ย
"I couldn't be any prouder of this team," said head coach Jamie Clark. "They are working so incredibly hard on and off the field. The work ethic and attention to detail that our team is establishing now will pay dividends for the rest of their lives."
This marks the fourth straight season that Schmidt has earned Pac-12 All-Academic recognition and Wright's and Blanchard's third straight season. Coffee, Jackson and Hauswirthย earned their second straight season.ย
Schilder currently holds the team's highest GPA as a geology major. He was also named to the Pac-12 All-Conference second team.ย
In addition to being named to the conference's All-Academic first team, Pearson was also named to the CoSIDAย Academic All-District VIII First Team. He currently holds the team's second highest GPA as a health science major.ย
To be eligible for selection to the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and eppearย in at least 50 percent of their team's games.ย
