
Kelcie Hedge Officially Named To U-20 National Team

CHICAGO – Head coach of the U.S. Under-20 Women's National Soccer Team, Michelle French, has named the 21 players for her roster that will represent the country at the 2016 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup, with Washington Husky Kelcie Hedge officially making the roster today.
The sophomore from Post Falls, Idaho will travel with the team to Papua New Guinea, where they will begin play on November 14th against France. They will then face New Zealand on Thursday November 17th, followed by Ghana on Monday November 21st to round out group play. All of their matches will be played in Port Moresby, the capital of Papua New Guinea, and be broadcasted on the FOX networks.
Hedge was a strong contributor for the Dawgs last season, totaling 11 points on four goals and three assists before being named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team. She started all 21 matches for UW as a freshman, recording her first career goal against Michigan, a game-winner in the 89th minute of play.
Hedge was a part of the last U-17 National Team cycle and owns four career goals on the international level.
