
Joe Meggs Named UW Director Of Baseball Ops

SEATTLE – Former three-year Husky letter winner Joe Meggs was named the Director of Baseball Operations, Washington Head Coach Lindsay Meggs announced Tuesday.
Joe Meggs is a former honorable mention All-Pac-10 player who earned an economics degree in 2013. He played three years for his father at Washington after transferring from Indiana State.
After completing his collegiate career, Meggs signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers as a free agent. He played one year in the Dodgers' organization before embarking on his coaching career.
Meggs most recently was an assistant coach for the Victoria HarbourCats in the West Coast Collegiate Summer League in Victoria, Canada. Meggs worked with the outfielders and the hitters on the player development side, while also assisting the coaching staff with video analysis, baseball analytics and scouting reports.
Off the field Meggs assisted the general manager with team travel, budgets, corporate sponsorships and community outreach while also directing the HarbourCats summer camps.
Meggs will succeed Taylor Johnson and help the Huskies with team travel, budgets, compliance, alumni and community outreach, video coordination and scheduling.
