Rain Forces Cancellation Of Purple & Gold World Series
October 23, 2014 | Baseball
SEATTLE - The Purple and Gold teams took the field at Husky Ballpark and made it through a full inning of play Thursday before the skies opened up forcing the cancellation of the deciding game of the Purple and Gold World Series.
The fall practice season is officially over after today, so there is no makeup game scheduled. The teams split the first two games.
The team resumes practice in January and the regular season starts in February. Washington will begin the year on the road with four games against Pacific (Feb. 13-16) in Stockton, Calif.
