PALO ALTO, Calif. - Rain washed out most of the schedule on day three of the ITA Northwest Regionals today at Stanford's Taube Tennis Center, but the Husky men's tennis team still got in three wins in doubles before the rest of the day's action was canceled. Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Kyle McMorrow moved into the quarterfinals in doubles play.
The third seeds in the doubles draw and ranked 25th nationally, Nedunchezhiyan and McMorrow topped Malko and Millan of Sacramento State, 8-4. They will play Cal's McLachlan and Lovill tomorrow in the quarters.
In the consolation doubles draw, seniors Martin Kildahl and Tobi Obenaus were 8-3 winners over Portland State's Erickson and Mam. Junior Matt Stith and freshman Max Manthou also posted an 8-2 victory over Horowicz and Miller of UC Davis. However, the remaining singles and doubles consolation draws have been canceled due to the back up of main draw play.
Monday will begin with two rounds of doubles play followed by singles matches.
