Simmons scores career-high 29 points in win over USC

Seattle - The Washington student section bowed down to Tre Simmons tonight after he left the Husky men's basketball game against USC for good reason. Simmons scored a career-high 29 points while matching his career-high for three point shots with six. He also logged six rebounds, four of them offensive, dished three assists, and snagged three steals.

Simmons led the high-scoring Huskies, who had three players (Simmons, Jamaal Williams and Will Conroy) all with double digits within the first half of the game. Washington ended with 99 points, its fifth highest point-total of the season. Conroy, the Pac10 leader in assists, threw up 10 assists and 13 points for only the second double-double performance of his career.
Hitting the three point shot has become synonymous with Simmons this season. He has hit a 3-pointer in 18 of 19 games this season and has 10 multiple trey outings. Leading the team with 46 treys this season, Simmons is No. 3 among Pac-10 players with a 46.5-percent accuracy.
