When the throw from center was cut and the throw to second base was offline, Lacey H?bert was able to score. Jan Moshier followed with a sacrifice fly to center to score Sigala from third to make it a 6-3 game. One batter later, Sondra Milchiker doubled to right-center to score Lovell, making it 6-4.
The Huskies answered in the fourth frame when Aimee Minor scored on an error by the shortstop.
CSUN chipped at the UW lead again in the sixth inning when a bases loaded walk scored a run.
The Huskies added an insurance run in the seventh when Hyatt doubled in Lastrapes.
