No. 11 Huskies Rebound With 4-0 Win Over No. 15 Boise State In Day Two Of USTA/ITA National Team Indoors

SEATTLE - Playing late into the night Friday, No. 11 Washington men's tennis rebounded from a disappointing first-round loss to take care of No. 15 Boise State, 4-0, in the consolation round of the USTA/ITA National Team Indoor Championships hosted by the Huskies, Friday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
Washington will play it final match of the tournament on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Nordstrom Tennis Center and will face No. 14 Harvard, which upset No. 10 seed Kentucky 4-1 on Friday.
Due to the late start time, the Huskies and Broncos elected not to play doubles, going straight to their singles lineups. Washington proceeded to win four matches in straight sets to culminate a long day of tennis on the UW campus.
Washington freshmen Alex Slovic, Daniel Chu and Chris Floyd accounted for three of the four wins, while junior Alex Vlaski also earned a victory at No. 1 singles. Matches played by juniors Christoph Palmanshofer and Peter Scharler were not finished.
The matchups are now set for Saturday play, with only one of the top-four seeds advancing to the semifinals. No. 1 Illinois will take on No. 5 Stanford at 11 a.m., while No. 6 UCLA will face No. 7 Mississippi at 2 p.m. Ole Miss, which handed UW its 4-3 first-round loss, dethroned the No. 2 seed Baylor in late play Friday night (4-3).
The tournament wraps up Sunday with the final set for noon at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
