No. 28 Nevada Beats UW Baseball

PHOENIX - Nevada scored in each of the first six innings and cruised to a 12-7 win over the Washington baseball team Friday at Papago Park at the Rawlings Spring Training Tournament.
The Huskies fell to 0-2 with the loss while No. 28 Nevada improved to 7-5.
UW's Matt Massingale, making his first college start after two seasons as a reliever, took the loss, working only four innings and allowing seven runs (four earned) on seven hits. Wolfpack senior starter Chad Qualls (2-0) threw eight innings for the victory.
Nevada was led by left fielder Ryan Church, with three RBI and a home run, the Wolfpack's only extra-base hit of the day. Joe Inglett added three hits for Nevada.
Sophomore Todd Linden, who hit two home runs in the season opener on Thursday, belted his third of the season Friday. Linden went 3-for-3 with a triple, two RBI and two walks. Sophomore JC transfer Michael Done also chipped in with his first collegiate home run, a two-run blast in the ninth.
Saturday, the Dawgs get a rematch with Creighton at 3:00 p.m. MST at Municipal Stadium. The Blue Jays beat the Huskies, 12-10, in Thursday's season-opener.
