TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Eddie House scored 29 points in his first game since tying the Pac-10 record with 61 against California on Saturday, and freshman Shawn Redhage scored a season-high 22 as Arizona State defeated Washington 90-80 Thursday night.
House also had seven rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Awvee Storey had nine points and 14 rebounds, helping the Sun Devils (10-4, 2-1) beat Washington for the 12th time in the last 13 trips to Tempe.
Senque Carey scored 25 points for the Huskies (6-9, 1-2), and Michael Johnson matched his career high with 22 points.
Arizona State led 41-31 at halftime, but Carey had five points in the first 2:38 of the second half to bring the Huskies within 43-37.
Then Redhage killed their momentum with a putback, and the Sun Devils went on a 13-1 run in the next 3 1/2 minutes. They took a 56-38 lead on a 3-pointer by Tanner Shell with 13:32 remaining.
Two free throws by Redhage maintained the 18-point lead at 62-44 with 11:30 to play, and the Huskies never got within single digits.
House, who had 16 points in the first half, was off his record form of five days earlier.
He was 18-for-30 in that game, and this time hit just 13 field goals in 30 shots. But his 29 points in a follow-up game bettered the 20 that Lew Alcindor of UCLA scored the game after setting the conference record in 1967.
House had three baskets during a 15-4 run that sent Sun Devils into a 26-17 lead with 8:23 remaining in the first half.
Johnson went on a personal 8-0 run in the next 2:10, but his layup after a scramble for a loose ball was the Huskies' next-to-last field goal of the half.
House finished a 11-2 surge with a 3-pointer, and the Sun Devils took their first 10-point lead at 37-27 lead with 3:27 left.
