Courtney Gano enters her third season with Washington softball, and first as Chief of Staff & Video Analysis Coordinator coming into the 2024-25 season.
During her time as an assistant coach,ย Gano helped in the development of the defense which posted the fourth-best fielding percentage in the nation.
As a player, Gano concluded her career with a .296 average with 24 home runs โ including 18 during her junior season โ and 102 RBI. She saw time all around the field, making starts at first base, third base, shortstop and catcher during her four years as a Husky. Gano was named a Pac-12 Second Team selection and NFCA All-Region Third Team honoree in 2015.

Gano retired in 2023 from her professional playing career after time with Athletes Unlimited, Club Forlì in Italy and the Chicago Bandits in the National Pro Fastpitch league.
