- Posted three top-10 finishes on the season after finishing tied for ninth at the Shoal Creek Invitational to open the year
- Was the Huskies first or second place finisher in six of 11 events and only finished outside the top 25 twice
- Finished 14th at the 2016 Pac-12 Championships
- Carded eight rounds under par and five in the 60s
- Advanced to the round of 16 at the 121st Amateur Championship in June
- Won the 2016 115th Pacific Northwest Men's Amateur Championship in July ... Yuan defeated Andrew Whalen 5 & 3 following 33 holes to take home the Macan Cup

Junior Golf and Personal
- The No. 13 rated recruit by the American Junior Golf Association Polo Boys Ranking of the Class of 2015.
- Ranked No. 22 by the Golfweek Sagarin and No. 25 by the Junior Golf Scoreboard Rankings of the Class of 2015.
- Qualified for the U.S. Open Sectionals by winning an event at Timacuan Golf and Country Club in Florida at age 15.
- Enters Washington with a World Amateur Golf Ranking of No. 72 in the world.
- Yuan was named honorable mention for 2014 AJGA Rolex All-America Team and in 2015.
- Finished as the runner-up in two big events, the TaylorMade-adidas Golf Junior at Innisbrook and the AJGA Puerto Rico Junior Open.
- Won the Scott Robertson Memorial Golf Tournament back in 2013, finishing at 7-under to prevail by three shots.
- Made the cut and finished 55th at the European PGA Tour event in China, the Shenzhen International.
- Originally from China, but currently attended the Eagles Dream Academy and Lake Mary Prep in Orlando, Fla.
