PRE-UW (HIGH SCHOOL): Wright, a four-star player who attended the Albany Academy, was named the 2017 Gatorade New York Player of the Year and was a two-time Class A Player of the Year in New York as both a junior and a senior ... as a senior with the Cadets, Wright averaged 16.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.9 blocks per game while leading his squad win the Class A Federation Tournament Championship ... was also named the MVP of the Federation Championships as a junior ... was a teammate of fellow signee Nahziah Carter as both played on the Albany City Rocks team before Wright spent the last season with the PSA Cardinals ... on the 2017 Nike Elite Youth Basketball League, Wright averaged 4.1 rebounds in 11 games, which ranked second on his squad.

He can not only shoot from the perimeter but he can go low and block shots and score around the rim. He has a high basketball IQ and is going to be a great foundation for this class."
