Pat Jenkins is entering his 15th season as the Husky Basketball athletic trainer and his 16th season at Washington. Prior to joining the basketball staff in 2002, Jenkins worked with Husky Women’s Soccer and Baseball programs. Currently the Director of Athletic Training/Head Athletic Trainer, a role he has held since 2005, Jenkins is directly responsible for the supervision and coordination of student-athlete health and well-being. In his role with men’s basketball Jenkins works directly with the strength and conditioning staff, dietitian, psychologist, team physicians and coaches to manage player health and safety.
Jenkins played soccer for Central Washington University (1993-94) and later earned his bachelor’s degree in exercise science while completing his athletic training education from the University of Alaska Fairbanks (1997). Jenkins went on to earn his master’s degree in human performance from San Jose State University (2002) while completing his graduate assistantship with the Stanford Cardinal (1999-2001). Prior to coming to Washington Jenkins completed internships with both the San Francisco 49ers and the UCLA Bruins.
A native of Fairbanks, Alaska, Jenkins and his wife Courtney, and two boys, Talon (9) and Rylan (7), reside in Kenmore, WA and enjoy spending their time playing in the Pacific Northwest.
