2015 Academic All-Pac-12 Second Team
2016: Started each of the first five games of the season at right guard ... returned to starting lineup as the right guard at Cal and again vs. USC, giving him seven starts in the Huskies' 14 games ... won the team's "Iron Husky" Award at the postseason banquet.
2015: Played in nine games, starting two ... named to the Academic All-Pac-12 second team ... started at right guard in each of Washington's first two games ... also saw action vs. Utah State, California, Oregon, Utah, Arizona State, Oregon State and Washington State.
2014: Did not see any game action during the 2014 season, and since he had a redshirt year available, will be a fourth-year junior in 2015.
2013: Saw action in the season-opening win over Boise State and also vs. Idaho State ... played extensively in the Colorado game and at Oregon State ... also saw a good deal of playing time in Washington's bowl victory over BYU.
HIGH SCHOOL: First-team All-Big Island and first-team all-state as a senior offensive lineman ... also played defensive line (honorable mention All-Big Island in 2011) and occasionally fullback ... rated the No. 9 recruit in the state by rivals.com ... ranked the No. 71 offensive guard prospect in the nation and the No. 3 overall recruit in his state by scout.com ... also a standout on the HPA track team, having won both the discus and shot at the Hawai'i state championships as a junior in 2011 ... son of former Husky All-America offensive lineman Bern Brostek, who started at center for the UW from 1986-89 ...
