As a senior, helped lead the Crusaders to a 9-2 overall record and the quarterfinals of the Oregon 6A state playoffs ... earned first-team all-league and all-state at center ... as a junior, helped Jesuit to a 12-2 overall record and the 6A state semifinals ... threw the shot, discus and javelin on the track team, earning a state berth in the shotput as a a senior ... also played baseball in high school ... son of two former UW student athletes, Cameron and Mindy (Williams) Cleeland ... father played both football and baseball at UW before a seven-year NFL career ... mother played both softball (a four-year starter) and basketball for the Huskies and was a starter on the Huskies' first Women's College World Series team in 1996 ...
