Played cornerback, safety and wide receiver at Jesuit โฆ helped lead the Crusaders to the quarterfinals of the stateโs 6A playoffs as a senior in 2023 โฆ helped team to a 9-2 record and the state quarterfinals as a junior in 2022 โฆ also played on the varsity as a freshman and sophomore, earning first-team all-conference at safety and second-team at slotback as a sophomore โฆ father, Nigel Burton, was a three-year letterman defensive back (1996-98) at Washington, earning Academic All-Pac-10 each of those three years โฆ Nigel captained the Huskies in 1998 and went on to become head football coach at Portland State (2010-14) โฆ Jace played football at Jesuit for coach Ken Potter.
