Joins the Washington roster after having spent the 2025 season at Ohio State … originally enrolled at OSU in January of 2025 … did not see any game action as a true freshman and comes UW with four full seasons of eligibility … played quarterback and defensive back at Ontario High School, but moved to receiver in college … set high school record for career passing yards, career passing touchdowns, career rushing yards, single-season passing yards and single-season rushing yards … as a senior, threw for 2,216 yards and 20 touchdowns, completing 149-of-253 passes, while rushing for 1,988 yards and 21 scores on 211 carries … on defense, notched 41 tackles, and three interceptions … also punted an kicked off … led Ontario to a 12-2 overall record and a trip to the state’s Region 14 championship game … named the Ohio Division IV Co-Offensive Player of the Year following senior season … also Academic All-Ohio … finalist for Mr. Ohio … Warriors went 10-2 and reached the Region 10 quarterfinals as a junior in 2023 … as a junior, threw for 2,328 yard and 19 TDs, while rushing for 1,003 yards and 17 touchdowns … also played varsity basketball and ran track … finished high school with four school records, and was All-Ohio in the 200 meters and 4x400 relay … was born in Ethiopia and moved to the U.S. at age 5 after being adopted.
