2012-13: Competed just twice on the season, running the 800-meters twice indoors … set an indoor PR at the MPSF Championships, where she was 13th in the 800m in 2:13.52 … a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention ... did not compete in the fall.
2011-12: Made her official Husky debut on the track, making consistent improvement all throughout the season ... starting with the indoor season, she improved her time at 800-meters in six successive races, going from 2:17.54 in her first race indoors down to 2:12.66 in May at the Oregon Twilight Meet ... competed at her first Pac-12 Championships, placing 17th in the 800-meters in 2:12.76 ... was fourth at the UW-WSU Dual 800m in 2:13.61 ... 13th at the Pepsi Team Invite in 2:14.98 ... a Pac-12 All-Academic Team honorable mention ... did not compete during the cross country season.
2010-11: Redshirted the track and cross country seasons to preserve a year of eligibility ... competed once unattached in the fall, placing 10th at the Emerald City Open at Woodland Park.
High School and Personal: Born in Santa Monica, California ... parents are Denise Okata and Tom Curtis ... has older twin stepsisters, Chelsea and Mariah, and a younger stepbrother, Keenan ... father Tom played volleyball at Loyola Marymount ... one of the top mid-distance runners in the country the past two years, posting her biggest win at the 2010 California State Championships, where she won the 1,600-meter title in a PR of 4:46.63, second-fastest among all seniors behind future teammate Megan Goethals ... state win capped a run where she took the 1,600-meter title at the Southern Section Division-II meet and the Masters Meet ... also won the 800-meters at the Division-II meet ... led the U.S. for much of the season at 800-meters with a PR of 2:09.07 set in a win at the Azusa Pacific Meet of Champions ... doubled back at the Azusa meet to win the 3,200-meters in 10:31.24, the fastest 800-3,200 double in California history ... anchored a state-record by Redondo's 4x1,600-meter relay as they won the Mt. SAC Relays in 20:03 ... ran the anchor on the 4xmile relay at New Balance Nationals in June of 2010 as Redondo placed second, then came back to finish ninth in the 800-meters ... was second at the California state meet in the 1600m her junior year, running a PR of 4:49.02 ... won the 2009 California Division-II title as well as the CIF-SS Masters title as a junior at 1,600-meters ... placed eighth at the 2009 U.S. Junior Outdoor Track Championships in the 800-meters, clocking 2:10.09 in the prelims ... undefeated in the Bay League the past three years at any distance ... also a strong cross country runner, placing 22nd at the Division-II state meet as a senior in 2009 and 8th in 2008.
