2021-22 (Track): One of the best all around seasons by a distance runner in Husky history, breaking the 5,000-meter record indoors and outdoors, winning the Pac-12 steeplechase title, and earning First Team All-America honors indoors and outdoors … placed seventh in the NCAA Outdoor 5,000-meters final in Eugene, running 13:31.39 … raced at the European Championships in August for Ireland, placing 8th overall … ran just one steeplechase all season but it came in a victory at the Pac-12 Championships in 8:32.47, missing the school record by less than a second … had a stunning comeback victory in the 5k at the Bryan Clay Invitational, coming from fifty meters back on the final lap to win in a school record time of 13:16.52 … also set the school record, broken later in the season by teammate Kieran Lumb, in the 10,000-meters at the Raleigh Relays, posting a time of 28:22.31 … won his heat of the 5,000-meters at NCAA West Prelims in 13:28.41 … at the UW-WSU Dual, won the 1,500m in 3:43.98, took second in the 800m in 1:50.51, and then was fourth in the 3k in 8:19.51 … indoors, had the highest finish ever by a Husky in the 5,000-meters at NCAAs, placing sixth in 13:28.48 … anchored the Husky DMR to the No. 3 performance in NCAA history, running a stunning 1,600m split of 3:52.81, to help the team run 9:21.10 at the Arkansas Qualifier … DMR team was named USTFCCCA National Athletes of the Week after Arkansas record … set the indoor school record in the 5,000m with a time of 13:24.00 at the Husky Classic … posted the second-fastest mile time in school history at the UW Invitational, going 3:55.14 … named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team ... (Cross Country): An All-American in his first and only collegiate cross country season, leading UW to a 13th-place finish at the NCAA Championships … at NCAAs in Tallahassee, finished 38th in 29:29 for the 10,000-meters, getting All-America honors with the top-40 finish … following the end of the NCAA season, traveled back home to Ireland which was hosting the 2021 European Cross Country Championships, and he paced Ireland with a 10th-place finish in the senior championships … finished sixth at the West Regional Championships, second on the squad, in a time of 29:36 … made collegiate debut at the Pac-12 Championships, placing ninth overall and first among Huskies, to earn All-Pac-12 Second Team honors.
